This month has been a very busy month. We organized a seminar at Vida Nova and received 3 teachers from the States, 2 people from the YWAM ministry Living Alternatives in Tyler Texas, whoe have had over 25 years of experience working with pregnant girls and adoption, and a teacher from anotherministry in Austin, TX.
It was an amazing week in which we´ve learned so much, receiving many new ideas, vision and dreams for our ministry here. And because I´m leading the ministry I have bee busy with this the whole week, including the nights, as of course we also wanted to show the teachers a little bit of the Brazlian culture! You can read more about this week and the teachers on the ministry blog here http://vidanovafortaleza.blogspot.com God has challenged me to go over to the States to see the ministry there with my own eyes and putting my feet there to take possession of it, only God to challenge us like that!!!!!
The end of last year we started coaching 2 pregnant girls of 15 years in the favela Oitão Preto. D*** on this picture has give birth this month to her second child.
In february we will help the other girl B *** to organize a babyshower so that she will be able to receive some things for her baby that is due in March.
Efraim´s favorite game has been building houses lately. Using some big pillows, a table and a chair he can play a long time! The funny thing is that he figured this out all by himself! Also we are drawing an average of 100 cars a day, beacuse each scratch of paper that he can get a hold of with a pensil or pen, he gives to us with the request: “auto?” (=car in dutch). So now we also have many notebooks and even my agenda with some nice pieces of artwork signed by Efraim…….he loves cars so much he also takes a whole collection to his bed to sleep with him as you can see here:
Jander´s work on the farm is also continuing. Every Thursday he goes to the youthprison to evangelize and talk with the boys there and every Friday he goes to the streets with a team, also a small team of DTS students is going along with them now. This picture was taken at Christmas with the boys of the farm where Jander works.
Lots of love from Brazil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great News Melanie!
Keep the faith!
I will pray that you can go to the States to see the Living Alternatives Ministries. I now it will be eye opening and you will be able to actually see all what God has done in a similar ministry, and believe that he can do it too in Brazil!
