Alweer meer dan een maand voorbij en weer hééééél veel te vertellen! In de eerste plaats heb ik dit weekend eindelijk mijn rijbewijs gehaald!!!! Vorige maand was mijn theorie-examen, daarvoor had ik een 9 gehaald! Daarna de verplichte 15 lessen, en op zaterdag afrijden. Vanaf 8 uur was het gepland, ik was rond kwart voor 8 aanwezig en uiteindelijk was mijn test rond kwart voor 4!!!!!!!!!!! Zo´n 8 uur wachten dus, buiten, zonder ergens te kunnen zitten of uit te rusten, uiteindelijk duurde mijn test maar zo´n 10 minuten en heb ik hooguit 500 meter gereden, zelfs de examinators waren het zat na zo´n lange dag!!!

Another month has passed and lots to tell!!! This weekend finally I got my driver´s licence!!! Last month was the theory test in which I got a 9 (out of 10!). Than I had the 15 obligated lessons and this saturday was the test. It was marked at 8 am so I was there around 7:45 am, and in the end my test was at 15:45!!!!!!! So 8 long hours of waiting outside, without a proper place to sit or rest, the test in the end was only about 10 minutes and I didn´t drive more than 500 mtrs, I guess the examinators were tired too at the end of a long day!!!!!

Mais um mês passou e muito para contar! Primeiramente tirei minha carteira de motorista este final de semana! No mês passado fiz o teste teorico e tirei 9!!! Fiz as aulas obrigatorias e este Sábado foi o teste. Estava marcada a partir de 8 horas, cheguei lá as 7:45 mas meu teste ao final foi as 15:45, 8 horas de espera, do lado de fora no calor, sem lugar para sentar! Ao final das contas meu teste durou só uns 10 minutos e não dirigi mais que 500 metros, acho que os examinadores também estavam cansados no final do dia (fiz pela commissão).

Jander heeft deze maand de beslissing genomen om te stoppen met school. Nu Efraim wat groter wordt en ik ook meer werk in mijn eigen project, was school voor hem bijna niet meer te combineren met de rest (werk/gezin etc)Door de weeks zagen we elkaar amper en in het weekend hadden we dan vaak nergens zin meer in. Waarschijnlijk gaat hij nu proberen om school af te maken via modules, daarvoor kan hij thuis studeren, en hoeft hij alleen voor proefwerken naar school toe.

Jander had to decide to stop with school. Because Efraim is growing and I´m busier than before with my ministry, his schoolwork was getting really hard to combine with his own work and family. During the weeks we almost didn´t have time together. He´s going to try to finish school in another way, studying at home and only having to do the tests at school (is on another school)

Jander teve que decidir para parar de estudar. Agora que Efraim está crescendo e eu também estou mais ocupada com meu ministério, o Jander não consegiu mais dar conta do trabalho, escola e família. Durante a semana a gente só tinha algumas horas juntos. Agora ele vai tentar fazer através de modulos, assim ele só precisa ir para escola para fazer as provas.

Met Efraim gaat ook alles goed, nog minder dan 2 maandjes en hij wordt alweer 2 jaar oud (21juni!) Het is mooi om te zien hoe hij steeds beter dingen begrijpt en oppikt, zowel in het portugees als in het nederlands. Hij speelt het liefste met zijn autootjes en met de knuffels. De laatste tijd speelt hij ook graag met z´n driewieler die hij van opa en oma heeft gekregen, maar dan moeten de knuffelbeesten wel achterop!

Efraim is also growing, only less than 2 months and he will turn 2 years old! It´s very cool to see how he learns and understand more every day, either in dutch and in portuguese. He loves to play wih his cars and teddybears, but lately he especially likes to ride his little bike his grandparents gave him last year, but only where the bears come along with him!

Efraim também está crescendo bem, faltam menos que 2 meses para ele completar 2 anos! (21 de junho) É muito legal para ver como ele começa cada vez mais aprender e entender as coisas, tanto em português como em holandês. Ele adora brincar com carrinhos e com os bichinhos de pelúcia,ultimamente ele adora andar no velotro que ele ganhou no ano passado dos seus avós, mas os ursos tem que ir juntos!!

Het feest van het projekt was een groot succes. We hadden de hele kapel op de basis versierd met ballonnen en babykleertjes, we hebben gezongen, gebeden, het projekt uitgelegd en gegeten!!!!! Voor ons als team was het erg speciaal omdat dit feest gelijk een nieuwe fase van het projekt inluidde, tot nog toe waren we meer bezig met het leggen van de fundamenten, nu gaan we verder met opbouwen!

The party of the project was a big succes. We decorated the chapel on the base with balloons and babyclothing, we sang, prayed, explained the project and had good food! For us as a team it was a very special moment as this party is also the beginning of a new phase, untill now we were making foundations, now we can start the further building!

A festa do projeto foi um sucesso. Decoramos a capela na base com balões e roupinhas de bebe, cantamos, oramos, explicamos o projeto e comemos!!! Para nós como equipe foi um momento muito especial, porque a festa também era um inicio de uma nova fase. Até agora colocamos os fundamentos, agora vamos continuar a construir!!!!!

Op dit moment lopen er 2 preventiegroepen. Eén groep wordt door mij en Mirjam geleid en is in Oitão Preto. We hebben daar een lastige start gehad om het vertrouwen van de meiden te winnen, maar het lijkt erop dat we nu na 1,5 maand een redelijk vast groepje hebben van ongeveer 5-6 meiden tot 13 jaar. De 2e preventiegroep is in projekt Mão Amiga, hier in Aquiraz zelf (het projekt waar we eerst werkten). Maar hier doen we het werk niet zelf, hiervoor leiden we een groepje van 4 studenten van de DTS (Discipel Schaps Trianings School). Wekelijks bereiden zij het programa voor, voor kinderen van 10-13 jaar, zowel jongens als meisjes. Ze hebben het al gehad over het lichaam van de man en de vrouw, over de verschillen tussen de man en de vrouw, over Gods principes voor sexualiteit etc. Na afloop evalueren we met elkaar en geef ik de opdrachten voor de week erop. De ervaringen van beide preventiegroepen zullen we samen vatten in een handboek dat ook op andere projekten gebuikt zal kunnen worden.

At the moment we have 2 preventiongroups running. One of the is led by me and Mirjam and is in the favela Oitão Preto. We´ve had a dificult start to gain the trust of the girls, but it looks like now after 1,5 month we have a small but fixed group of girls ´till 13 years old. The second groups runs in Aquiraz at the project Mão Amiga where we worked before. But here we´re not doing the work ourselves, we´re leading a group of 4 students of the DTS (Discipleship Training School). Weekly they prepare the program for the kids of 10-13 years, boys and girls. They already talked about the body of the man and the woman, about the diferences between man and woman, about God´s principles for sex etc. After every class we come together and evaluate the class and I give them the topics for the next week to prepare. The experiences of both programs we´re putting together in a manual the can also be used in other projects.

No momento temos 2 grupos de prevenção em andamento. Um está acontecendo em Oitão Preto. Mirjam e eu estão indo lá toda semana. No inicio tivemos um pouco de dificuldade para ganhar a confiança das meninas, mas agora, depois de 1,5 mÊs parece que temos um grupo mais ou menos fixo de 5-6 meninas até 13 anos. O segundo grupo é em projeto Mão Amiga, onde trabalhamos antes. Mas aqui não é a gente que faz o trabalho, estamos (eu e Mirjam)liderando um grupo de 4 alunos da ETED (Escola de Treinamento e Discipulado) que semanalmente preparam uma programação para as crianças de 10-13 anos, tanto meninas como meninos. Já falaram sobre vários assuntos, como o corpo da mulher e do homem, diferença entre homens e mulheres, sexo segundo o padrão de Deus, etc. Depois de cada aula sentamos juntos para avaliar e passar o assunto para a semana que vem. As experiências dos 2 grupos estamos juntando num manual que pode ser usado em outros projetos também.

Vorige week hadden we hier een nations2nations event. 2 weken lang had de DTS les samen met nog een aantal andere DTS-en uit het noordoosten, en tijdens het weekend hadden we een soort conferentie, met daarbij de nadruk over de unieke aspecten van elke natie. Jander moest spelen met de band om e aanbidding te leiden. Ik ben zelf 2x een ochtend meegeweest maar door Efraim kreeg ik helaas niet veel mee.... wel hadden we er een ooie stand voor het projekt en hebben we heel veel sieraden kunnen verkopen en promotie kunnen maken voor ons projekt!
Last week we had a nation2nations event here. During 2 weeks the DTS had classes with some other DTS-es of other bases of the northeast and the last weekend was a sort of conference enphasising the uniqueness of every nation. Jander played in the band to minister worship. I went 2 mornings as well, but because of Efraim I did not get to participate a 100%. We did have a stand of the project and it was a great oportunity to promote the project and seel some tshirts and jewelry!

Semana passada tivemos um evento Nation2Nations (das nações para as nações). Durante 2 semanas a ETED teve aula junto com mais alguns ETEDs do nordeste e no ultimo final de semana foi um tipo de conferência com um foco grande nas nações e o jeito único de cada um. Jander estava tocando na banda para ministrar louvor e eu também fui 2 vezes pela manhã para o evento, mas por causa do Efraim não consegui participar totalmente. Nós tivemos um stand do projeto lá onde conseguimos vender camisetas e bijuetrias do projeto e mais importante divulgar o nosso trabalho.

Dat waren zo´n beetje onze belevenissen van deze afgelopen maand. Volgende maand staat ons ook weer wat leuks te wachten: Volgende week (3 mei!!!!!) vieren Jander en ik namelijk ons 5 jarig huwelijk!!!!! De tijd vliegt!

Ola, como a maioria de vcs já sabem, nós trabalhamos no projeto Mão Amiga por 2,5 anos, lá começamos um grupo de discipulado para adolescentes. Ficamos muito felizes em saber que 3 dos adolescentes do grupo tem a vontade de fazer ETED (leia mais sobre isto em outro mensagem que escrevi, clique no link DTS/ETED). É muito bom poder ver um fruto do trbalho que fizemos juntos com os outros obreiros. Estamos impressionados com a grande fé deles e confiança que tem em conseguir levantar os 8000R$ (2000 para teorico e 6 para pratico). Oi!, meu nome é Geiciane, tenho 18 anos, moro em uma pequena cidade chamada Aquiraz, cidade metropolitana de Fortaleza, e quero compartilhar um pouco da minha vida. Eu participo do Projeto Mão Amiga de JOCUM e quero contar as bençãos que Deus está derramando sobre a minha vida e consequentemente na vida de outras pessoas. Eu faço parte desse projeto desde os meus 14 anos, começei como aluna de várias oficinas e participava do grupo de discipulado aos Sábados. Na verdade eu tinha muitas dificuldades com a Bíblia e não gostava muito da idéia de ser cristã. Então Deus colocou pessoas abençoadas em meu caminho que me ajudaram bastante. E hoje é impossível viver sem a Bíblia, desde então Deus começou trabalhar na minha vida de uma forma fantástica. Porque a cada dia que se passava eu podia ver cada vez mais a Glória de Deus e as maravilhas que Deus pode fazer em minha vida. Desde então resolvi fazer primeiro todas as coisas para a Glória de Deus, procurando sempre pensar como, o que vou estar fazendo, vai estar abençoando a vida de outras pessoas.

PASSANDO PELAS ÁGUAS

No dia 26 de Agosto confirmei meu compromisso com Jesus me batizando na Igreja Presbiteriana na comunidade onde moro. Eu estou muito feliz tendo Jesus no meu coração, sendo Ele meu Senhor e Salvador da minha vida.

AJUDANDO AS CRIANÇAS DA COMUNIDADE

Hoje eu estou trabalhando como voluntária no projeto Mão Amiga e isso me faz feliz porque todos os dias eu posso olhar as crianças da comunidade onde eu vivo e ver de alguma maneira eu estou contribuindo na vida delas e fico feliz por saber que elas tem a oportunidade, que eu tive. E não apenas para as crianças, mas também para as pessoas que estão ao meu lado.

O QUE ESTÁ NO MEU CORAÇÃO

Eu falei um pouco sobre a minha história para que você possa me conhecer melhor e ver que realmente Deus está me abençoando e me lapidando para que eu possa ser uma boa ferramenta na obra Dele. Eu já estou orando a um determinado tempo e Deus tem falado comigo sobre fazer a ETED (Escola de Treinamento e Discipulado) e todos os dias eu oro cada vez mais porque esse é um plano que Deus colocou em meu coração e sei que os planos Dele não podem ser frustados. Eu gostaria de pedir pra que você possa estar orando com todo o seu coração e seu entendimento e possa perguntar a Deus se você pode me ajudar financeiramente ou com oração a dar mais um passo nos infinitos degrais da escada do Reino de Deus. Eu peço realmente que você ore e que reflita sobre a palavra de Deus para que de alguma forma você também possa me abençoar.

VALDIANE

Meu nome é Valdiane, tenho 18 anos, há cerca de 6 anos. A minha vida antes de entrar no projeto era demuita confusão e brigas com colegas de escola e vizinhos, não havia respeito com pessoas. Durante esses anos no projeto tenho aprendido muitas coisas sobre Deus e o seu Filho Jesus. Através dos ensinos da Palavra de Deus dos meus discipuladores, hoje a minha vida é diferente, Jesus mudou a minha vida, eu amo muito Jesus e gosto muito de ler a Bíblia.

O ACONTECIMENTO MAIS MARCANTE NA MINHA VIDA
Foi o que aconteceu no dia 26 de Agosto, quando eu declarei publicamento de ser filha de Deus, a minha vida entregue a Jesus como meu Senhor e Salvador. Me batizei na Igreja Presbiteriana que fica na comunidade onde moro. É maravilhoso ter Jesus no coração, sou muito grato a Ele por te-Lo como meu Salvador.
COOPERANDO COM O REINO
A partir do segundo semestre fui convidada para ajudar no projeto, pois o projeto necessitava de professor de Inglês para pré-adolescentes e também com as crianças de alfabetização. Eu tive uma experiência muito boa de ensinar as crianças e pré-adolescentes. Depois de muito tempo só recebendo, pude enfim passar um pouco do queaprendi até aqui. Além de compartilhar do amor de Deus para elas.
OBEDECENDO A DEUS
Nos últimos meses Deus tem trabalhado na minha vida a possibilidade de fazer ETED, Escola de Treinamento e Discipulado, em JOCUM Fortaleza, com enfoque em China. Deus tem me mostrado claramente o que Ele quer e tudo o que posso fazer é obedecer. As circunstâncias me mostram coisas difíceis, a parte financeira é bem complicada porque eu preciso de R$ 8.000,00 isso é difícil para mim conseguir, mas mesmo assim eu escolho acreditar, pois o meu Deus é o Deus do impossível, e além do mais Deus não iria colocar algo no meu coração em vão. Eu conto com suas orações na minha caminhada com Deus. Eu preciso muito de você.

“Não diga que é muito jovem, mas vai e fale com as pessoas a quem eu enviar e diga tudo o que eu mandar não tenha medo de ninguém, pois eu estarei com você para protegê-lo. Sou eu o Senhor quem está falando”. Jeremias 1: 7 e 8

CRISTIANO

Oi! meu nome é Cristiano. Tenho apenas 17anos e me congrego na Igreja Presbiteriana Independente do Brasil, moro em Aquiraz, Ceará. Participo do Projeto Mão Amiga/JOCUM-Fortaleza, a cerca de 5 anos, nesses anos todopude aprender a falar Inglês, tocar violão e outras coisas, mas principalmente conhecer quem é Jesus. Tenho visto o quanto Deus tem me transformado e quero desfrutar desse relacionamento com Ele. Creio que Deus veio me preparando acada momento da minha vida e assim estou procurando o meu lugar
no reino de Deus.

BATIZANDO NAS ÁGUAS
No mês de Agosto/2007 passei pelas águas do batismo, o dia tanto esperado por mim. É maravilhoso testemunhar para as pessoas que Jesus é o meu Senhor e Salvador da minha vida. E que faço parte do corpo de Cristo que é a Sua igreja.
COOPERANDO COM O PROJETO
A partir do segundo semestre de 2007 abriu a
oportunidade de ajudar no projeto, a área que eu mais gosto é música, assim comecei a ensinar tocar violão para dois grupos novos de crianças. Para mim foi uma experiência nova e desafiadora, pois nunca tinha ensinado algo para alguém. No final gostei muito de ensinar e vi que tenho condição de ser benção ajudando as crianças não só ensinando violão, mas em outras áreas também.
BUSCANDO INTIMIDADE COM DEUS
Eu quero conhecer mais de Deus, ter uma intimidade maior com Ele. Por isso eu estou me preparando para fazer a ETED-Escola de Treinamento e Discipulado/ JOCUM-Fortaleza. Para realizar a escola preciso vencer 2 dificuldades: a primeira é a idade, pois a idade mímima é de 18 anos, mas eu só tenho 17 anos, já me sinto em condição de fazer a escola. A outra dificuldade é a condição financeira Pelo motivo da ETED ser dividido em parte teórica e prática( com possibilidade de ir para China), se torna muito caro para mim, mas peço orações para minha vida, pois sei que meu Pai é dono de todo ouro e prata e Ele domina sobre tudo, nada sai do controle das Suas mãos.

I´d like to ask you to read is whole post. As many of you know we´ve been working for 2,5 years at the Friendly Hand project of YWAM Fortaleza. One of the things we started at the project was the discipleshipgroup on Saturdays. We were very happy to find out the 3 of the teenagers we´ve discipled (together with the other staff) have a desire to do the next DTS (Discipleship Training School, I wrote about taht in an earlier message, if you want to read more about it). It´s a great challenge for them, their parents don´t even have a regular wage and they´ll have to pay about 1000 US$ for the first theory phase and 4500 for the practical phase. We´re very impressed with their faith and trust in God, to help them we decided to put their newsletter on our blog. We´de like you to pray for them. Hi! My name is Geici, I am 18 years old, and live in a small city called Aquiraz, close to Fortaleza in the Northeast of Brazil. I´d like to share a little bit my life. I make part of the project Mão Amiga (=Friendly Hand, a community development project of Youth with a Mission (YWAM ). And I would like to tell about the blessings God is pouring on my life and as a consequence on the lives of other people. I´ve been part of this project since I was 14 years old. I started as a student within the various workshops and participated in the discipleship group on Saturdays. To tell the truth I had many difficulties with the Bible and did not like the idea of being a Christian. But God put some blessed persons in my life that helped me a lot. And today it is impossible for me to live without the Bible, since that time God started to work in my life in a fantastic way. Because every day that went by I could see more of the Glory of God and the wonderful things that God could do in my life. Since that time I decided to do everything for the glory of God in the first place. I try always to think if what I do will bless the life of the other person.

Going through the waters

On the 26th of September 2007 I confirmed my commitment with Jesus, when I was baptized at the Presbyterian Church in the community where I live. I am very happy to have Jesus in my heart, as He is the Lord and Savior of my life.
Helping the children of the community
Currently I work as a voluntary at the project Mão Amiga/Friendly Hand and this makes me very happy because every day I can look at the children of the community where I live and see that in a way I can contribute to their lives, knowing that they have the same opportunity that I had. And not only for the children, but also for the people around me.
What´s on my heart.
I told a little bit about my story so that you could know me better and see that God is blessing me and preparing me to be a good tool to be used by Him. I have been praying for a while and God has been sharing about doing a DTS (Discipleship Training School) and every day I pray more because this is the plan that God put on my heart, and I also know that His plans won´t be frustrated. I would like to ask you if you could pray with all of your heart and understanding and could ask God if you could help me financially or in prayer to put one more step on the infinite steps of the stairway of the Kingdom of God. My name is Valdiane, I am 18 years old. For 6 years I have been in the project Friendly Hand (community development project of YWAM). Before my life was a lot of confusion, I did not have a good relationship with the people. But during these years I have learned many things about God and His son. People who helped me study the word of God taught me a lot. Today my life is different, Jesus changed my life. I really love Jesus and recognize that He is the one and only Savior and Lord.

The most striking moment of my life
That was on the 26th of August when I declared that I am a child of God, and I gave my life to Jesus. He is my only Lord and Savior. That was the day when I was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in the community where I live. It´s wonderful to have Jesus in my heart, I am very grateful to have Him as my Savior.
Cooperating in the Kingdom.
In the second semester I was invited to help in the project Friendly Hand. Because they needed somebody to teach English to the children. I was able to teach them what I have learnt. It was a nice experience for me. After a long time I have been only receiving, and now I could pass on a little of what I have learned so far. Besides being able to share the love of God to them.
Obeying God
In the past months God has been working in my life, the possibility to do a DTS (Discipleship Training School) at YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Fortaleza with a focus on China. God has been showing me clearly what He wants and all I can do is obey. The circumstances are difficult, the financial part especially is complicated as I will need 8000 R$ (+/- 4500 US$). This amount is difficult for me to gather, but even so I choose to believe, as my God is the God of the impossible. And even more, God would not put something on my heart in vain. I´m counting on your prayers for my walk with God. I really need you a lot. “But the Lord said to me, “ Do not say I am only a child.´You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you and will rescue you´, declares the Lord. ´Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you´, declares the Lord.“ Jeremiah 1: 7-8

CRISTIANO
Hello! My name is Cristiano. I’m just 17 years old and my church is called the Independent Presbyterian of Brazil. I live in Aquiraz, Ceará, in the Northeast of Brazil. I’m in the Friendly Hand Project of YWAM Fortaleza/CE since 2002, and during this time I have learned to speak English and to play guitar, but mostly to learn who is Jesus I have seen how God has changed me and I want to enjoy the Relationship with him. I believe that God has been making me ready and that´s why I am looking for my place in the Kingdom of God. In August/2007 I was baptized in my church. It was wonderful.

COOPERANDO COM O PROJETO
In the second semester of 2007 I could help the project teaching how to play guitar to the children. It was a new experience to me. I loved it and it gave me more responsibility.
LOOKING FOR INTIMACY WITH GOD
I want to know about God more, and to have a bigger intimacy with Him. Because of this I’m preparing myself to do DTS-Discipleship and Training School/YWAM-Fortaleza. I need to affront two troubles: the first is my age, because the necessary age is 18 for making my practical time outside of Brazil, the second is the financial condition. If the leaders from DTS accept me to do practical time in Brazil, I need +/- $4500 It is very expensive for me, but I want to ask you to pray for me, I know that God is the owner of all gold and silver and He controls everything.

DTS/ETED Fortaleza

Kom ook naar Jeugd met een Opdracht Fortaleza in het Noordoosten van Brazilie voor onze Nations 2 Nations multiculturele tweetalige (Por/Eng) Discipleship Training School (DTS). Wij nodigen je uit om te komen en getraind te worden in zending samen met andere christenen uit andere landen. We zullen het karakter van God bestuderen, en Zijn plan voor ons aandeel in globale transformatie. En terwijl we leren, zullen we wekelijks dit toepassen door mee te werken in de lokale ministries, onder andere met straatkinderen, in de jeugdgevangenis, werk met zwangere tieners, buitenschoolse opvang en sportactiviteiten, en nog meer. De speciale focus zal onder ander zijn op de speciale Nations 2 Nations Celebration Week en de outreach naar nog onbereikte etnische mindereheden in Azie. Dit is je kans om God te leren kennen en Hem bekend te maken!

Join us at YWAM Fortaleza in northeastern Brazil for our Nations 2 Nations (N2N) multicultural bi-lingual (Por/Eng) Discipleship Training School (DTS). We invite you to come and be trained for missions alongside fellow believers from other nations. We will study the character of God and His design for our participation in global transformation. As we learn, we will make weekly application through involvement in local ministries including: street children, youth prisons, teen pregnancy care, after school & sports programs, and others... Special focus includes Nations 2 Nations Celebration Week and final outreach to Asian unreached minority ethnic groups. This is your chance!! TO KNOW GOD and MAKE HIM KNOWN

Junte-se a nós em JOCUM Fortaleza para esta ETED Transcultural bilíngue (Port/Eng). Venha e receba treinamento para missões, ao lado de pessoas de várias nações. Estudaremos o caráter de Deus e seu propósito pela nossa participação na transformação global. Semanalmente colocaremos em prática o que nos foi ensinado através do envolvimento em nossos ministérios locais que incluem trabalhos com: crianças em risco, menores infratores, adolescentes grávidas, atividades esportivas e reforço escolar e outras...
Além disto fazem parte do Programa a Celebração “Nations 2 Nations” e durante o período prático trabalhos entre grupos de povos não alcançados na Ásia.
